This site is a tribute to Mary Pain. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

A celebration of Mary Pain's life

Funeral service is at Guildford Crematorium on Tuesday 24th September 2024 at 11:15 am

For those unable to attend the service it will be webcast live and can be viewed using the following login details:

Thoughts

I am so grateful to Mary for welcoming me to the village 24 years ago and introducing me to other Peasmarshians (and “outsiders”!) through her lovely lunches. I will always remember her as a vehement advocate for young people and someone who enjoyed the company of the young.

Rest in the peace of Christ dear Mary my wonderful cookery teacher from Tiffin Girls all those years ago. Faithful correspondent and faithful Christian. So many great memories of all you taught me and all the skills I've used down the years.
